Seamless Titanium Tube

Seamless titanium tube is made by extrusion process. Welding titanium tube is made of titanium plate by curling over.

Generally speaking, the wall thickness of seamless titanium tube is thin and the caliber of seamless titanium tube is smaller. Seamless titanium tube is characterized by light weight, high intensity and excellent mechanical behavior. So seamless titanium tube is widely used in heat exchange equipments, like tubular heat exchanger, coil type heat exchanger, condenser, evaporator, transporting pipes and others.

Seamless titanium tube has high intensity. Titanium alloy is featured by very high strength. The tensile strength of titanium alloy is 686 to 1176 MPa, while, the density of titanium alloy is just about 60% of that of steel.

Seamless titanium tube has higher hardness. The hardness of titanium alloy (annealing state) is HRC 32-38.

Seamless titanium tube has low modulus of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity of titanium alloy is about half of that of steel and stainless steel.

Seamless titanium tube also has excellent high-temperature properties and low-temperature properties. Under high temperature, seamless titanium tube still can maintain excellent mechanical properties. The heat resistance of seamless titanium tube is much higher than that of aluminium alloy. Titanium alloy can be widely applied. At present, new type of heat resist titanium alloy can be used at 550-600℃. At low temperature, the intensity of titanium alloy can be increased and titanium alloy would have excellent toughness.

Seamless titanium tube has strong corrosion resistance. Under 550℃, the surface of titanium alloy will form a layer of compact titanium oxide film.
